Helm, Icon Template, Black Rain, Prostitutes and Svengalisghost line-up to remix Orphan Swords’ License To Desire EP [2015] to accompany its new 2017 reissue thru London’s Aurora Borealis.
The grim thump of Hooker is seemingly pumped thru a soggy sock and left to fester in its juices by Helm, whereas Icon Template laces it with a proper monotone techno pounding and Svengalisghost takes it to the darkroom for a thoroughly messed up industrial spanking.
Black Rain treat Asmoday more cautiously, resetting its off-kilter axis to a more lumbering, booze soaked swagger, and Prostitutes hammers the same components into a dry bucking and wretched industrial groove.

During the final days of writing my thesis I listened to this album on repeat for hours at a time. It was like being suspended in one eternal moment while all that changed around me were the ripples and eddies of a slowly meandering river. catharina_bee

Just imagine if these outtakes made it into EATEOT, the project would've been over seven hours! I love how "I Might Be Vanishing" is a stark contrast from other tracks, being only nine seconds. 913GA

As usual, Kirby manipulates various interwar records to fit a cavalcade of emotional states: blissful (B1, E8), tragic (D2, D5), frantic (E1, E6), and just plain horrifying (F3, G1, H1, K1). gjoe52

Too many favorites to pick but such an emotionally provoking album, it’s powerful, dark, sexy, terrifying, and story telling.
